I do this pretty often to check the weather. This is a simple weather plug-in for Windows Media Center (XP). It's pretty easy to manipulate, and you get current conditions, five-day forecast, and even satellite pics.

I'm selling this home theater PC. This video demonstrates how easy it is to sort and navigate your movies/tv shows through Media Center's pretty interface. I first use a Logitech Harmony 1000 universal touchscreen remote (not for sale) to turn on the plasma, sound system, and HTPC. Then I navigate to an episode of Seinfeld.
